TEAM AVPA 2017: THE MAKING OF THE WORLD'S BEST COFFEE IN SAGADATEAM AVPA 2017 grew out from our passion for coffee and a desire to showcase Philippines coffee to the world. Led by Rich Watanabe, Butch Acop, Goad Sibayan, with coffee advocates from the academe, local community, coffee industry, and enthusiasts all came together to achieve a new vision for Philippines coffee: to grow coffee that’s best in the world, and best for the world. TEAM AVPA 2017 committed itself to take on a quality-focused approach in coffee farming, and develop roasting techniques using a Filipino-invented coffee air-roaster that helped it achieve the highest cup quality for Philippines coffee.On June 28, 2017, our Philippines coffee entry won the Medaille Gourmet award at the highly prestigious “Troisième Concours International Des Cafés Torréfiés À L’origine AVPA-Paris 2017”. The award is truly the first international recognition highlighting the great work of Filipino coffee farmers growing one of the finest beans in the world to be the true artisans of the Philippines coffee industry.TEAM AVPA 2017 wishes to thank everyone who supports Philippines coffee. TEAM AVPA 2017 grew out from our passion for coffee and a desire to showcase Philippines coffee to the world.
